Common questions
The menu bar icon isn't showing up.
Check the overflow menu — the >> icon near the right edge of your menu bar — macOS hides icons there when the menu bar is full. You can also drag icons in the menu bar (holding ⌘) to rearrange what's visible.
How do I change the keyboard shortcut?
Open Copycat's Preferences from the menu bar icon and go to the Shortcut tab, where you can record a new global hotkey.
Is my clipboard data private?
Yes. Copycat never sends your clipboard anywhere — there is no cloud sync and no network calls. Your history is encrypted at rest on your Mac with AES-GCM. See our Privacy Policy for details.
How do I report a bug or request a feature?
Email support@meetcopycat.com with as much detail as you can — your macOS version, what you expected, and what happened instead. Screenshots help.
How do I get a refund?
Copycat is sold exclusively through the Mac App Store, so all billing and refunds are handled by Apple. Request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com or through Settings → Apple ID → Media & Purchases on your Mac.
